Three Generations!

The Manassas Woman's Club is honored and delighted that we currently have a family of 3 generations of volunteers active in our club. Our club is 99 years old and have had many, many members, and many have been related in some way. But to have 3 generations at once? That's remarkable!

Ellen Owens joined our club in 1996 through the invitation from a good friend. Ellen has spent the ensuing 29 years giving to the community through her time and efforts on behalf of our club, from fundraising to Board member.

Ellen's daughter, Robin Grubs, was an 'honorary' member assisting with events and fundraisers until she joined in 2005 through an invitation from her mom. Robin has been an active and integral part of the club for the last 20 years and we look forward to many more years of her great community service.

Robin's daughter, Kait Anderson, has been part of the club practically her entire life, helping her mom and grandma with events. In 2015, Kait officially joined and has continued to be active and engaged in the community and the club, planning events and fundraisers.

All of these women combine for a whopping 59 years of service to the Manassas community and we are proud and grateful for their commitment and efforts through our club. By modeling community service not only in the family setting, but through joining the club, these women have made community service an integral part of their lives. The Manassas community, and our club, have benefited greatly.

If your looking for a place where your input is valued and you get a say in the projects that are supported, consider the GFWC Manassas Woman's Club.
